O' Tongue

I don't have a sweet tongue
It only knows to be right
It might turn bitter at times
Only then it feels light

It knows not to please others
And take all the praise
Nor it knows to keep mum
And believe its a passing phase

It doesn't like to be a slave
It means what it says
It believes in itself and feels
What has to stay, stays

Different tastes has made it strong
Making it harsh at times
In a tug of war it swallows all
It has learnt to find the rhymes

It loses control in despair at times
And shows my feelings a way
Then locks itself in sealed lips
Though nothing more to say

It raises for my rights often,
It speaks what I feel
It likes to show myself a mirror
Helping my heart to heal

O' tongue please, hurt noone
Even if you can't be sweet
You might be right but not always
Do our expectations meet

Oasis Of Life

They met in a bone dry desert
Where the sun was pricking its rays
The sand was pulling them down
And they felt like worthless days
All of a sudden they could feel it cool
Like oasis in the barren land
They sat there for hours together
As though their sharings had no end
Years kept passing
The Oasis kept growing
They sat together praising
The seeds they were sowing
He always spoke about moving to greens
But she wanted to be sitted there
She knew they couldnt be forever together
The thought itself was a nightmare
Then came a day, he got a pleasant call
His happiness knew no bounds
He jumped of joy and stood there tall
With green land all around
She was happy for him yet sad within
No longer would it be the same
For her it was like all is over
He was all set for a new game
For her their togetherness
Was like a dream that came alive
For him a dream world was waiting ahead
He was all set to dive.
Life in a desert and life in the greens
Their destiny would show varied phases
In the baren desert she only hoped
Sometime to see him in the Oasis.
He promised her,  someday he will
Surely again meet her there
But deep within she only wished him
Merry greens as she knew only to care.
