As I Closed My Eyes

Last night as I closed my eyes

Questioning myself why, why, why?

I felt lighter, as though raised high

 And found myself, up in the sky

The stars were running like a stream

The pleasure I was having was extreme

With joy I felt the need to scream

Was it all real or was it just a dream?

The crescent moon bowed down a bit

Grabbed my hand and pulled me to sit

I wore a gown with a perfect fit,

As though it was an act, in a beautiful skit

I felt so special, wanted and cared,

Loved the moments that were being shared

Suddenly,

I heard a voice that got me scared

The skit was over but the crowd still stared

MY MIRROR

My Mirror Shows My Hair As Grey
Your Skin Is Loosening To Me It Says
Vision Is Getting Blurred Day By Day
My Mirror Is Getting Old I Can Surely Say

The Heads That Turned When I Passed By
And Voices That Said Oh My My!!
No Longer I See Or Hear Them Sigh
Its Hard To Believe How Times Fly

Limbs Give Up On Running Around
Weight Keeps Changing Pound By Pound
Inevitable Changes To Which We Are Bound
Inside Four Walls Feels Safe And Sound

Everything Around Is Getting So Old
I Am Still The Same Young And Bold
But Nothing Around Is Like Before
Life Is Not The Same Anymore

Grey Hair And Wrinkled Skin
Blurred Vision Day By Day
O Mirror!  My Dear Mirror!
You Are Getting Old I can Surely Say !
